BRIAN RODDICK HANSON
Brian Roddick Hanson, 80, of Winnipeg, MB, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025.
Born July 5, 1945, in Estevan, SK, he earned graduate and post-graduate degrees in Psychology from the University of Manitoba. His distinguished career included roles as psychologist with the Northern Mental Health Team, Director of Counselling and VP of Student Services at Red River College, and Director of Administration and Professional Certification for Manitoba Education. A highlight was assisting in establishing Manitoba-curriculum schools in Beijing.
He married Dawn (née McLachlan) in 1971. He is survived by his son Evan (Darie) and grandchildren Maks and Malin. He was predeceased by his daughter Kristin (Alex Schneider).
Known for his love of family, cars, travel, and music, he will be remembered for his generosity, intellect, and unwavering devotion.
A Celebration of Life will take place January 15, 2026, 2:00 p.m., at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd.
